Rubber latch between the windscreen frame and the front hood of the VW Type 181, with OEM number 271 859 287. The rubber provides dampening and grip at the contact point where the folded-down windscreen frame rests on the front hood. Due to UV exposure and ageing the rubber becomes brittle, after which replacement is needed.
