This rubber seal prevents water and dust from getting between the windshield frame and the bodywork. You need both an upper and lower piece for a complete seal around your Type 181 windshield frame. The original 181 845 137 ages and tears after years in the sun - so replacement is a good time to address moisture problems. Combine this with a new windshield rubber (inner seal) for a clean result.
