Gas-filled Heavy Duty shock absorber for the VW Beetle and Karmann Ghia (front 12/1952–07/1965), VW T1 Bus (front and rear up to 07/1967), VW T2 Bus (front 08/1967–07/1979), Type 3 (front and rear) and Type 181 (rear). The gas filling limits foaming in the oil during intensive use, so damping remains more consistent under load.
