This dust shield (OEM 211 405 594A) prevents dirt and moisture from directly contacting your brake disc. For T2a and T2b models from '70 to '79 - it belongs on the right side of your brake system. Without it - your brakes will clog up faster and their performance will deteriorate. Combine this with the left side to complete your brake maintenance.
