Left heat exchanger for the VW T2 Bus with Type 4 2.0 engine, model years 08/1978–07/1979, OEM number 039 256 091C. The heat exchanger surrounds the exhaust manifold on the left side and uses exhaust heat to warm fresh air for the cab heating. Replacement is required when rusted through or if exhaust fumes enter the cab.
