Rubber seal between the exterior mirror and the body of the VW T3 Bus 05/1979–07/1992, OEM number 251 857 543. The seal keeps water and dirt from getting between the mirror base and the door, and hardens after years of UV exposure. It is replaced when the mirror is removed.
