This accelerator pedal shaft bushing (OEM 211 721 621) prevents dirt and moisture from entering the engine via the accelerator pedal shaft. On T2a and T2b models - this is a wear part that needs to be replaced regularly - especially if you move the shaft and feel that the rubber is torn or has hardened. Combine this with a new accelerator pedal connecting rod for complete maintenance of your accelerator pedal mechanism.
